Object description :

"Faux Cardboard Mahogany Desk, Restoration Period - 1st Part Of The Nineteenth"
This Faux Cartonnier Lectern, at breast height, opens with a sloping flap, in mahogany veneer, and with a mitred frame. This writing space, dark with black leather with cold stamp and gold, is equipped with an original hook lock in working order, its key and an entrance inlaid in brass. On the right side, a small hinged drawer pivots forward, and reveals a reserve pen and an inkwell. As a belt, this piece of furniture offers a second drawer. When it opens, it releases a vertical element on hinges, allowing the door to be released, simulating five dummy drawers. The latter, in solid walnut, are surrounded by half-round strips and furnished with handles and brass plates. The interior offers two adjustable shelves since on racks, and therefore storage adaptable to your needs. This atypical piece of furniture will bring, by its proportions and its originality, functionality and character to your decoration.
