The antique painting with flowers Bouquet of Anemones and Poppies offered here is an
oil painting on canvas from the twentieth century.
It is a voluminous and lively bouquet of flowers contained in a green ceramic vase.
Painted with soft brushstrokes that create a delicate
contrast with the bright colors of the flowers. Art Déco. Still lifes, from the early 1900s.
It should be noted that the carved and lacquered wooden frame is original and coeval, from the 1930s.
The work is signed at the lower right P. Dolzan (XIX–XX). Italian painters.
Primo Dolzan is an Italian painter born in Tezze sul Brenta, in Veneto. Painter of landscapes and still lifes.
He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes de Paris between 1933 and 1935.
The frame and the painting have been carefully and professionally restored.
