Argonne plate with a rooster motif, late 18th/early 19th century. A high-fire plate with lobed edges, originating from the Argonne region. Decorated with a rooster on one leg. Rocky and grassy mound. Rim decorated with small flowers. The plate has been repaired: two chips have been filled (see last two photos). No cracks or other repairs. Diameter 22.6 cm
