ESM polo kepi from the interwar period, dating from the 1930s. Scarlet crown and turban, sky blue band. Gold bullion flaming bomb embroidered directly onto the band. Small gold buttons, stamped with a grenade and the inscription "Ecole Spéciale Militaire" (Special Military School). The top of the crown is adorned with a single-strand gold soutache Hungarian knot, as worn by junior officers. Black patent leather visor. Black silk lining. Size 57 cm. Good overall condition.
