"Merio Ameglio "
The Church of the Trinity, 46 x 55 cm, oil on canvas, signed upper right, located on the reverse and dated 1958. Mario Ameglio was a painter, engraver, lithographer, and illustrator. He spent his entire childhood in the south of France. He is primarily known for his landscapes, scenes of urban life, and seascapes. He then settled in the bohemian and artistic district of Montmartre and met many avant-garde artists such as Pablo Picasso, Jacques Villon, and Jean Paul François Galle. He joined the School of Paris. He exhibited oil paintings at the Paris Salons and in 1938 received an honorable mention for his painting Rouen Cathedral.
