"Baroque Wall Oratory In Carved Wood Decorated With Cherubs - 17th Century, Altar Niche 17th Century"
A carved wooden wall oratory featuring a gently curved central section framed by a semicircular arch, flanked by two finely decorated uprights adorned with bunches of grapes and foliage beneath expressively sculpted angels. A wooden figure of Christ completes the central piece against a velvet background. The structure appears to be the result of a carefully executed early join between the central niche and the side panels. A 17th-century work, likely French or Flemish, it can be used as a standalone piece or as part of a sacred art collection. Height 60 cm - width 58 cm - maximum depth 15 cm. A support panel with a fixing system is located at the back. Good overall condition, with wear and losses consistent with age. Collection in Paris by the buyer or their preferred carrier.
