Solid silver snuffbox, France, first half of the 19th century. Traces of an old hallmark, probably a second rooster mark and a small guarantee mark, re-hallmarked with the Minerva 1st standard mark. Silversmith unidentified. Very fine engraving and chasing on all sides in the English style, decorated with flowers and scrolls. Vermeil interior. In good condition.
