Large Rouen Faience Platter – Lambrequin Decoration – Early 18th Century. Superb large Rouen faience platter, decorated in blue monochrome with a rich lambrequin, palmette, and scroll motif, inspired by the so-called “Bérain” style. Large central medallion with architectural motifs and radiating decoration on the rim. Very fine display size: 49 cm in diameter, rare on the market. Old restoration with staples, attesting to its importance and age. Wear consistent with age and minor chips. Rouen, early 18th century (circa 1690-1730).
