18th Century Wedding Cup - Probably Jurisdiction Of Dijon - Beaune

A solid silver wedding cup, 18th century. It rests on a circular foot, with undulating contours beneath a frieze of egg-and-dart and fluting, and a plain rim. On each side of the cup are two ringed handles in a foliate console style, the appliqués in the shape of hearts. Total height (including handles): 8.3 cm / 3.27 in. Diameter (bowl): 13.5 cm / 5.31 in. Total weight (sterling silver): 318 g. Length (including handles): 18.3 cm / 7.2 in. Hallmarks are difficult to identify, probably a mark for the Dijon jurisdiction, 1762-1775 - Beaune. Maker's mark with the initials PM
