"Movado Yellow Gold Tourbillon Jewelry Watch, 1950s Style, Mechanical"

A 1950s MOVADO ladies' watch in 18K yellow gold (owl hallmark). A true jewel in itself, it features a bracelet that is both textured, thanks to its chevron mesh design, and sophisticated, with a tourbillon shape that wraps around the dial in a beautiful three-dimensional movement. This movement gives the watch depth, even though it is quite flat, wrapping and embracing the wrist, particularly through the supple braiding, for a "second skin" feel. At the center of the tourbillon is the watch case, in a size typical of the period, with a gold-colored dial that aesthetically complements the bracelet. This dial is enhanced by a striking and original watch crystal, faceted around its edge, visually echoing the chevron pattern of the bracelet. The two-tone hands are tipped in black, matching the understated black hour markers on the dial. Movado, the renowned Swiss manufacturer, produced a hand-wound mechanical movement for this watch, as was typical of the era. Its proper functioning is guaranteed by us for one year (except in cases of shock or immersion). To preserve the watch's aesthetic appeal, the winding crown has been placed underneath, making it invisible when worn. The clasp buckle features a guilloché chevron pattern that continues the bracelet's design. The clasp has several notches allowing you to adjust the watch's length. Length: minimum: 15 cm, maximum as is: 15.5 cm - can be adjusted in our workshop (quote available upon request, please contact us). Total gross weight: 32.30 g. Condition: very good overall condition, barely perceptible micro-scratches; note: one chevron link is split (see photos) which can be repaired by our workshop.
