Antique Walking Stick With Monogram Beneath Royal Crown
A rare walking stick with the monogram PB beneath a closed royal (or imperial) crown applied to a shield. It is made entirely of Tortoise shell. The shaft is carved in a thorn pattern. Metal ferrule. It is in good condition, although some losses to the crown are visible in the photos. The walking stick measures 31,49 inches in total. An exceptional piece due to its quality, material, and the mystery surrounding its royal monogram. Datable to the late 19th century.
