Double-edged blade, with a central ridge on one side and a groove on the other.
Gunome-style temper line.
Nakago signed “Bishū Ju Nobuiyē”.
Lacquered wooden shaft, signed.
Textured lacquered wooden scabbard with shibuichi medallion.
The yari was the samurai's main weapon; it was used in particular by troops to sever the hamstrings of enemy horses and bring down their riders.
