Lin gin or Kachin dha sword, northern Burma
First third of the 20th century

Sword length of sword: 59; length of blade: 44.5cm
Sword length Total length: 72.5cm
The handle, called ulu, is made of wood covered with leather; the rectangular bone pommel is riveted with four star-shaped points; brass bolster decorated with a frieze.
The single-edged, two-tone steel blade is finished at an angle.
The scabbard, called Kumpang, is made of a carved and engraved wooden blade, with four braided plant fiber flanges and a wider loop for sliding the thin suspension loop.
