BARBAUD-KOCH Marthe-Elisabeth (1862-1928) born Marie Élisabeth Marthe Koch in Lyon in 1862 and died in Toulon in 1932, is a painter. Specializing in flower painting, she is attached to the École de Lyon. She studied with Sophie Olivier, landscape and portrait painter, Loubet, draftsman of the Fabrique, Élie Laurent, painter of landscapes and religious decorations, and William Bouguereau. But it was mainly with Jules Ferdinand Médard (1855-1925) that she learned the techniques of flower painting. She probably attended his course located in Lyon at the Quai Saint-Antoine where she perhaps met Thérèse Guérin. She began her career in Paris where she lived for a few years, before returning to Lyon for a long time.
She ended her life in Toulon. She exhibited in Lyon from 1887.
She exhibited at the Salon de Dijon in 1892, 1897 and 1900. In 1896, she exhibited three paintings in Montpellier.
