Rare and very beautiful set of damask linen with a hunting motif (late 19th century) including a large tablecloth and twelve matching napkins, bearing the LD monogram hand-embroidered on each piece. Particularly dense illustration populated with dogs in packs or on the lookout, horn blowers, hunters, riders and amazons, large and small game in the undergrowth and a body of water...
Condition : Two small old repairs made on the edge of the selvedge should be noted, as well as a very slight light brown peak on three napkins. These details are visible in the photos (additional photos on our online sales site). Old linen, white, washed and ironed.
