Pair of bronze vases by Auguste Moreau with a pretty decoration of cherubs in the round and garlands of leaves surrounding one of the handles. Molded base in green marble veined with white and brass base. Period late 19th century Auguste Moreau 1834- 1917, French sculptor belongs to the Moreau family, a dynasty of sculptors of the 19th and early 20th centuries His works, often made of bronze or marble, are exhibited at the Salon des artistes français and meet with great success. Several of his works are kept at the Museum of Fine Arts of Troyes and the Museum of Fine Arts of Bordeaux.
