Six Antique Castle Napkins, Late 19th Century, Hand-embroidered, 60x90, Fringes 10 Cm

Superb antique castle napkins, entirely hand-embroidered, dating from the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th century. Each napkin measures 65 x 90 cm, excluding the 10 cm fringes, and presents an exceptional refinement, both in the quality of the fabric and the finesse of the embroidery. This is an exceptional antique household linen, from a prestigious estate, probably in pure linen. ????️ Condition: In very good condition, despite some residual traces of rust, much reduced in the wash. These marks, visible in some photos before washing, were clearly pitted but returned without any problem; they will disappear completely in the next wash. ???? Care tip: To prevent the fringes from tangling, I tie them in small bundles with white ribbons (to avoid any discoloration). I then spin gently at 400 rpm, then untangle each knot by hand, without ever using a comb - this way, the fringes retain all their suppleness and original shine. I currently have six identical towels ready for sale, and six others are in the wash, identical to the first batch. I also put photos of the batch before washing. This set will make a very nice gift.
