A sublime Empire period portico clock circa 1805 in remarkable condition and authenticity. Mercury-gilt bronze, covered throughout with brilliant gilding and matte gilding. A simple two-column design, adorned at the top with an eagle with outstretched wings and a palmette at its base, and a beautiful sunburst pendulum occupying the space between the columns. A large, domed white enamel dial with finely crafted hands.

Original, unmodified mechanism, wire suspension, striking on the hours and half-hour on an antique bell.
