Total length: 133cm. Barrel: 88.5cm. Muzzle diameter: 16mm
Heavy, ribbed barrel, ribbon damask, rifled bore; marked on top H. Sénévay à Fleurier and decorated with a constellation of gold stars, a thunder fret and a gold ring at the muzzle. Pointed front sight in a dovetailed tunnel. Fully engraved breech block, with gold inlays and equipped with a precision rear sight.
Front lock, flat body, engraved with foliage and signed in gold in a cartouche SEVENAY A FLEURIER. Engraved hammer and firebreak at the percussion point.
Double trigger and stecher system.
Trigger guard forming a finger rest, quick release by screw; engraved finish with foliage, scrolls and a head.
Cut steel counter-plate featuring a finely engraved handshake surmounted by a cross. Steel fittings, fully engraved with intertwined or single sea serpents.
Walnut stock with long barrel, horn butt plate, cheek piece, and checkered grip. Two wings.
Steel butt plate with hook, richly engraved.
Wooden buttstock with screwed brass end cap.
A beautifully crafted weapon in very good condition. The diopter rear sight is included but the screw thread needs to be reworked.
