Beautiful Oil on Cardboard in excellent condition. This charming and luminous work represents a landscape with haystacks. Painted by Jacques Jacobi, Swiss artist born in 1877 in Geneva. Referenced as a landscape painter, draftsman, decorator, fresco artist. He was a student at the Ecole des Beaux Arts and the Ecole des Arts Industriels in Geneva. He also studied in Brussels, Schaerbeek and Paris at the studio of F. Cormon. He began in 1900 at the Salon des Champs-Élysées and then worked in Liège as a decorative draftsman. From 1909 onwards, he appeared at the exhibitions in Switzerland, Paris and Brussels with Landscapes. He executed frescoes in chapels, castles and private houses in Switzerland, France and Belgium. Dimensions without the frame, 40.5 cm. With the frame, 19th century (some small restorations) original gilding, 57 cm x 48 cm.
