This beautiful miniature portrait of a young woman was created by the French portraitist and miniaturist Jean-Pierre Drouin (1782, Besançon - 1861, ibid.).
Pupil: École supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, under the direction of Claude Dejoux. High-quality miniature portraits, stylistically inspired by the students of Louis-François Aubry; D. uses a characteristic yellowish-pink tone with ochre shadows and light blue nuances for the faces. Also portraits in oil and watercolor.
