Pair of Wedding Coins Je – Ndani / Dani, Central Highlands, Irian Jaya (PNG)
Made of gray-green stone, these two elongated oval blades have a carefully polished surface. Each is decorated in its center with a wide band of braided plant fibers, from which plant fringes are suspended. On one of the examples, a few colored feathers enrich the ornament.
