Mesopotamia Black Stone Figure of Seatead Goddess with Vessle

A wonderful seated figurine of a femal Goddess or high priestess.

The figure strongly suggests it symbolizes Enheduanna the high priestess of the City of Ur in Mesopotamia, The marking at the base seem to point strongly to it syboloizing th High Priestess.

We cannot rule out a possible connection to other cultures inlcuding on of the many Female figures in Egyptian relgion.

These little figures would have been carried and used for relgious prayers.

The head of the figure has broken off, tdis could have been disfigured but we cannot rule out it was damaged over the centuries.

The material is likely some form of granite or black rock.

She is expertly carved and very smooth, and at the base the presence of some markings or script.

A large spendant fragment, likley from a cross.

A beautiful large ring from the Turkish / Ottoman empire.

The ring is likley fitted with a large quartz stone.
