Senior artillery officer's sword, Restoration period under Louis Philippe, 19th century. Triangular blade bearing the hallmark "S & K" for Schnitzer & Kirchbaum on the heel. Bronze mount and hinged joint with an ornate recess and central medallion with a Léonin muffle on one side and a flower on the other. Symmetrical keyway with 2 scrolls cut with Léonin masks, in the center the Arms of France crowned on a background of flags with a cannon and its cannonballs above. On the left Mercury and on the right Fame blowing his trumpet and in his left arm brandishing a torch. Fuse in mother-of-pearl plate and pommel in ribbed Urn.
