Large vase from the famous Manufacture de Sèvres with its foot, neck and handles in Bronze. This vase is signed by the Manufacture and by the painter on the side. Superb colors with a very Art Nouveau decoration. The handles are decorated with mascarons. The dimensions are a Height of 47 cm and its square base in Bronze 13 cm. Delivery in France and Europe. A royal Manufacture In 1740, a soft porcelain workshop was founded in Vincennes in a tower of the royal castle, under the reign of Louis XV and the influence of Madame de Pompadour, favorite of the king. In 1756, the Manufacture was transferred to Sèvres in a building constructed at the initiative of Madame de Pompadour, near her castle of Bellevue. 130 meters long and four stories high, it was built between 1753 and 1756 by the architect Laurent Lindet on the site of the farm known as "de la Guyarde". This building now houses a National Education department. In 1759, Louis XV allowed the Sèvres Manufactory to have a greater influence in Europe by placing it under the full control of the Crown. From its beginnings, the Manufactory found in Madame de Pompadour a loyal client and protector.
