Very large Aubusson tapestry with greenery decoration, in the background a castle and a village in the mountains. In the foreground, a hunting scene with a dog in the act of catching a grouse. A parrot in the tree on the left and another bird in the tree on the right. Rich, well-balanced decoration. Fresh colors. Beautiful floral border with a ribbon. Good condition of the tapestry, also lined. The hanging system consists of small hooks sewn onto the lining and will need to be consolidated or modified. Period 18th century.
