- In the foreground stands vegetation on either side, including a coconut tree on the left. The landscape appears arid and seems to reveal a hot and dry Mediterranean climate. In the background, we see on the left a tower connected to what appears to be a wall marking the entrance to a city which appears in the next shot with an architecture with crenellations and pointed roofs. At the foot of the tower, a scene of life made so delicate by its smallness is offered to us; two men, one standing in a red tunic and a tall seated man, seem to be showing the way to a lady by pointing their arm to the right.
- The lower and upper borders remind us that this type of painting on canvas belongs to a production traditionally called "painted tapestries". These are paintings imitating tapestries made on textile canvases. Born as an alternative to tapestry, the painted canvas has many common characteristics such as constituting a monumental decoration whose large dimensions allow the artist to propose a rich and careful composition. Here the canvas can be likened to a window.
- Good state of conservation, halo marks are to be noted (see photos). This canvas is lined and has rings serving as a fixing system.
- Dimensions - Width: 131cm Height: 305 cm
