Four-armed Avalokitesvara Chaturbhuja Lokeshvara, China

Peaceful and contemplative form of the four-armed bodhisattva of compassion, avalokiteshvara Chaturbhuja or Sadaksari, in gilded bronze. His serene face displays an expression of compassion, his gaze directed towards the world, his hair carefully gathered in a bun under a five-pointed diadem surmounted by the head of Amitabha.
