Bracelet Set With Garnets, Napoleon III.
This silver bracelet is composed of eleven links, in the shape of flowers, including a larger one in the center. Set with a multitude of garnets, they are highlighted by the light which gives them a beautiful blood-red glow. The garnet has symbolized truth and fidelity since Antiquity, it is also synonymous with courage, vitality and passion. Two hallmarks are struck on the snap clasp, one is an owl for the control of silver and the other a swan which is the control of gold for the small safety chain. Napoleon III period.
