Louis XV Rococo Style Gilt Bronze Fireplace Surround, 19th Century

A 19th-century Louis XV Rococo style gilt bronze mantelpiece set, comprising a central clock and a pair of matching six-light candelabra. This set is distinguished by its rich ornamentation: a profusion of rocaille motifs, acanthus leaves, delicate flowers, and charming putti.
The beautifully preserved gilding highlights the fine chiseling and demonstrates remarkable craftsmanship. The generously sized clock features a white enamel dial framed by two large gilt acanthus leaves.
The upper section is decorated with openwork scrolls and floral motifs, typical of the Rococo style of the second half of the 19th century.
The pair of six-armed candelabra completes the ensemble: five arms elegantly wrapped around a sixth central light, each surmounted by a finely crafted bobèche, are joined by a woven basket supported by a draped putto — creating a harmonious and refined composition.
The clock has two winding holes, is in perfect working order and has been fully serviced. The original key is included. A sumptuous decorative ensemble, ideal for adorning a mantelpiece or enhancing an elegant interior.
