"Gilt Bronze Louis XV Style Fittings, Circa 1900"
An important gilt bronze mantel clock set comprising a richly carved, rocaille-style clock with a serpentine shape and foliate decoration, a fully enameled dial with Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes. It is surmounted by a finial in the form of a floral vase. The six-light candelabra are also included. Louis XV style, circa 1900.
Clock: H. 74 cm - W. 40 cm - D. 24 cm. Candelabra: H. 72 cm - W. 24 cm - D. 24 cm.
Brocot suspension and movement signed AD MOUGIN, numbered 2259. Very spectacular considering its size, with beautiful gilding.
