Louis Philippe Mirror With A Scalloped Shape And A Rounded Satin Wood Frame With A Folding Base.
Artist: Non Signé
Lovely table mirror with a fretwork shape, with fine satinwood molding (light rosewood) in rounded parquetry elements carefully assembled, creating a refined geometric pattern across the entire frame; the red mahogany back forms the bottom, a clever hinged folding rear leg retractable in a groove, allows it to be hung on the wall, traveled and placed on a dressing table. Its pretty original mercury glass, little attacked and with a beautiful refractive effect, the pretty movement of this Louis Philippe mirror (circa 1840) is very elegant, beautifully assembled, well proportioned and with careful, refined marquetry. A beautiful decorative piece to hang or place, of quality, in good general condition and decorative in good taste in all sobriety
