Beautiful Louis XV style double bed, made of molded and carved wood, lacquered in its original gray-green shade and enhanced with finely crafted gilt leaf.
The headboard and footboard feature the curved lines typical of the Rococo style, adorned with delicately carved scrollwork, floral bouquets, and foliage. The arched legs end in scrolls, emphasizing the lightness and refinement of the composition.
The set has been restored with an Italian-made silk lampas, with a light sea green background enhanced with polychrome tulips, foliage, and flowers. The fabric, with its sumptuous and luminous design, is finished with matching silk piping, giving the ensemble a refined charm and great aesthetic coherence.
This piece of furniture perfectly embodies the 19th-century taste for exquisite reinterpretations of the Louis XV style, combining grace, comfort, and decorative opulence.
Its condition is remarkable: the patina and gilding show harmonious wear, reflecting the bed's age, while the silk is in very good condition.
