Pair Of 19th Century Porcelain Ointment Pots With Chinese Water Landscape Decor
Artist: Manufacture Française, à Identifier
Pair of very beautiful covered pots on heel, for ointment, in white porcelain with ivory-colored glaze, decorated with a subtle and extremely delicate painted decoration of branches of plum trees in bloom, a water landscape with heron, dragonflies, butterflies and other insects; the base, the outer edge of the lid and the handle button highlighted with cobalt blue edging.
In addition to the high quality and delicacy of these ointment pots, the real subtlety which gives them an exceptional charm lies in the ivory or cream-colored glaze on which the decoration is revealed very gently (this last very important detail is unfortunately not very noticeable in the photos).
If you have any questions, we are at your disposal.
