19th Century Gilded Bronze Mirror, Beautiful Baroque Style Fronton With Winged Sphinxes And Mascarons

Beautiful antique mirror in gilded bronze in the Baroque style, the pediment decorated with cherubs adopting the posture of winged sphinxes in an interlacing of foliage scrolls and windings surmounted by an iron tip of the spear in the shape of a halberd.

It "rests" on an openwork base decorated with scrolls, foliage, windings, fleur-de-lys tips and leafy sheaves forming a beautiful Louis XV motif called agraphe. It is flanked by two columns or pilasters richly worked and embellished with mascarons and chimeras.
The stain of the mirror is in very good condition; the thick glass has a beautiful contoured shape and has a bevel all around.
A strong suspension ring allows it to be hung vertically.
The back is covered with a sheet of zinc.
