Charming gilt bronze mantel clock, decorated with a subject representing Saint John the Baptist as a child, seated near a lamb and holding a cross surrounded by a ribbon. The white enamelled dial with Roman numerals rests on a large rocaille base finely chiseled with scrolls and foliage. French work from the Louis-Philippe period (circa 1840), of beautiful quality of gilding and sculpture. Condition: very good general condition, old gilding well preserved, complete mechanism not tested. Height: 39 cm.
