Fountain by the sculptor Charles Alphonse Achille Guméry (1827-1871). Albumen print mounted on cardboard bearing the dry stamp "Ch.Marville, imperial photographer of the Louvre" in the margin at the bottom circa 1860. The sculptor dedicated the proof on the mounting cardboard, preceding his signature with the words "to Mr. Félon his colleague" (Joseph Félon, painter and sculptor (1818-1897)). The sculpture bears the salon number 3282. Charles MARVILLE (1813-1879) is an architectural photographer and "the photographer of the imperial museum of the Louvre".
