Tea box with two compartments in the style and period of Napoleon IIISigned: Jean Pierre Alexandre Tahan, cabinetmaker to Emperor Napoleon III The box consists of two tea compartments with complete lids The box has its original key and closes perfectly Three precious and rare woods are used in its manufacture: meshed mahogany, Rio rosewood and rosewood The box has beautiful gilded brass lettering on the upper part It is signed at the level of the clasp mechanism on a brass cartouche "Tahan supplier to the Emperor" The box is in exceptional condition; it was inspected and cleaned by Marc Menouillard (MOF cabinetmaker) in 2025
