Antique Western Himalaya Bronze – Hindu Dakini Temple Attendant

A solid cast bronze figure of a kneeling female attendant, Western Himalaya (Western Nepal / Western Tibet influence), 19th century or earlier. The figure is modeled with one knee raised, one hand supporting behind, and the other lifted in a gesture of devotion. She wears large hoop earrings, a beaded necklace, armlets and anklets, and a floral-incised lower garment. Such figures, often identified with dakini or donor attendants, were placed in Himalayan shrines as votive offerings. Rich dark green-brown patina. Height: 12.5 cm.
