Gaspard Dughet, commonly known as Gaspard Poussin, is a painter of religious compositions, animated landscapes, and landscapes. Gaspard Dughet was the son of French subjects living in Rome. Nicolas Poussin, finding himself alone and isolated in Rome in 1620, was received into the intimacy of the Dughet family. This is how Dughet was strongly influenced by Poussin and devoted his life to painting. His works are imbued with grandeur and solemnity; Dughet excelled in the representation of the effects of light at sunrise and sunset.
