Harlequin (height 59 cm, width 22 cm, depth 13 cm) wears the classic multicoloured diamond costume, with gilded details and black mask. The piece is signed and numbered 367 both on the head and the body. The hands are removable, held by the electric wires leading to the bowls, conceived as light holders. Excellent condition: no restorations, only minimal firing marks and light wear consistent with age.
The masked gondolier (height 57 cm, width 26 cm, depth c. 14 cm) is shown wearing a red and white striped shirt, blue trousers and a yellow hat, in a lively pose. Also signed Orosa (San Polo, Venice). One hand holds a bowl, the other covers the light fitting placed on the torso. Condition: some visible restorations to the fingers (one finger reglued, a small loss and another fragment reglued).
Both works are notable for their dynamic modelling and vibrant polychromy with gilded highlights, typical of Venetian production of the mid-20th century.
Provenance: Venice, San Polo – signed Orosa.
