"Large Decorative Dish, Victor Kremer, Sarreguemines"
Superb wall dish in polychrome and gilded enameled stoneware, made by the famous faience factories of Sarreguemines around 1900, in the middle of the Art Nouveau period. This piece embodies "Summer", represented by a delicate female face surrounded by finely modeled ears of wheat and flowers in relief with gilded highlights. The expressive modeling of the face, the material effects and the richness of the details testify to the talent of the sculptor Victor Kremer, emblematic collaborator of the factory, known for his allegorical and decorative figures. An exceptional decorative work, emblematic of the taste for nature and the idealized femininity of the Belle Époque.
