Auguste Gardanne (circa 1840- circa 1890), was a French painter specializing in military themes. He was born in Ancona to French parents. Student of Leon Cogniet (1774-1880) and Adolphe Yvon (1817-1893). He exhibited military subjects at the Paris Salon from 1864 to 1879. Two of his works are included in the Pontoise and Rochefort Museums collections.
