Bronze sculpture with medal patina representing Esmeralda, late 19th century. Bearing the Bergmann stamp, B in a jug and Austria 757. One of the main characters in the novel "Notre-Dame de Paris" by Victor Hugo (1831). A gypsy dancer, aged 16, she dances and plays the tambourine in the streets of Paris accompanied by her goat Djali. Beautiful patina. In very good condition.
