The work depicts a young man in a classic pose of introspection, seated on a rocky outcrop, holding a quill in his right hand next to an engraved manuscript.
The signature “H. Fugéré” is directly engraved into the bronze on the base.
The original plaque on the front bears the inscription “LE PENSEUR.”
Very beautiful original patina with nuanced brown tones and subtle highlights; in very good condition.
