Refined 19th-century bust, signed "Giuseppe Renda (Polistena 1862 - Naples 1932). Made of bronze, it depicts a female figure captured in a moment of intense emotional and sensorial ecstasy. The face, slightly tilted back, with closed eyes and slightly parted lips, conveys an expression of inner, almost mystical abandon. The sculpture plays with the contrast between the smoothness of the face and torso and the raw texture of the extremities, which appear deliberately unfinished.

The work seems to emerge from primordial matter, as if the figure were born from the stone itself, evoking a spiritual transformation or the transition between the physical and the metaphysical.
