Roger Vandercruse, known as Lacroix (1727-1799), received Master on February 6, 1755. Brother-in-law of Jean-François Oeben and Jean-Henri Riesener, Roger Vandercruse is one of the great representatives of the Transition style. He notably delivered the Duke of Orléans, Madame du Barry and several pieces of furniture for the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne through Gilles Joubert.
