"Art Nouveau Porcelain Table Lamp With Japanese Decoration"
Imitating Satsuma porcelain and drawing its inspiration from Japanese iconography, this magnificent table lamp from the end of the 19th century is made in France. The crackle of the body of the lamp is sumptuous! The enameled and colorful decoration of butterflies, cherry branches and plants recalls the craze for Japan expressed by Western countries in the art of the end of the 19th century, marking the beginnings of Art Nouveau. The base is made of solid bronze (and not brass). This old oil lamp has been electrified and works perfectly. We sell it topped with a crackle glass globe, just to place on the base. But any freedom to add a lampshade is welcome! A bright and timeless piece! Height without globe: 48 cm Height with globe: 75 cm
