"Large Pair Of Celadon Vases From The Early 20th Century, Bronze Mounts"
Superb and large pair of celadon vases with bronze mounts from the early 20th century. They rest on a molded cylindrical base decorated with palmettes. The very slender central shaft is in celadon (porcelain covered with crackled enamel, generally soft green in color) and the top is topped with a hoop. From this hoop depart 2 handles each of them is in the shape of a winged sphinx the whole of the mount in gilded bronze. The signature below is similar to that found on the porcelain of Georges Émile POITEVIN, but without any certainty. Very decorative work and in excellent condition
