Directly embroidered on the front of the band, in silver cannetille, number of the regiment. Small bell buttons in silver brass, holding the false chinstrap in lines called silver ribbed. Top of the cap decorated with a single-strand Hungarian knot in silver soutache. Visor in black patent leather on its external face, and lined with green morocco on its internal face, rush in blackened lacquered calfskin sewn on horseback. Interior of cap in light brown satin. Sweatband in tan leather. Captain's tunic model 1898, in fine light blue cloth closing straight on the front by means of nine half-spherical buttons in silver-plated brass without imprint. Straight madder collar, decorated with madder cloth tabs cut in braces in their front part, number embroidered in silver cannetille. Two closing clasps at the foot of the collar. Sleeve cuffs topped with rank braids and facing tab in madder cloth decorated with three buttons of the small module model. Epaulette waits and sleeve braids in silver ribbed lines. On the back, two false pockets with soubise tabs highlighted with buttons of the model. Lining in black satin with white vertical stripes. Straight trousers of the model specific to the light cavalry, in fine madder cloth, on the sides two wide bands of sky blue cloth, separated by a piping. France. Third Republic.
